I believe it. I don’t think all KCers are haters. But no, some of the main KC accounts on twitter have sent Leah hate over the years. Saying “wow she looks old” “shitty actress”, etc. Of course there are trolls but Leah did get hate from KC fan accounts that fandom is not innocent.

Onto Joseph, this is going to make some folks angry but whatever.

It may appear that I suddenly flipped my JM switch but I assure you I didn’t. I’ve been side eyeing him since season 2 when some of his interviews came out. I side eyed how he kept his mouth shut and acted like Klaus wasn’t in a romantic story. How he tried distancing himself from Leah and hell, other female cast members too, in public. In fact, this year I tagged him in a long Klamille thread I tweeted after he said that he doesn’t think Klaus could choose between Aurora and Cami in an interview….this is after Klaus threatened to kill Aurora after what she did to Cami. After Klaus CHOSE Cami, knowing that Klaus tells Cami “I don’t care about Aurora, I care about you” in 3x18 knowing in 3x19 Klaus tells Cami he loves her. 

But Joseph doesn’t think Klaus could choose between Aurora and Cami?

 What the fuck is JM talking about? And therein lies one of my main issues with Joseph. The fucking disconnect.

In Joseph’s interviews he tries to please everyone. He doesn’t want to ruffle feathers, or basically give the KC fandom any reason to blow up his mentions on twitter. This is a grown ass man afraid of a fandom. It’s pathetic. 

Earlier on he took bts selfies with Leah, did interviews saying he liked working with her. In fact he said his favorite scene from 4x20 was their scene by the painting. Joseph liked the energy and the choices Leah made when acting. This was all in the first half of season 1. Then the backlash came. The hate came. Once he tweeted Leah and people sent hate about it. So he tweeted saying if you sent him or someone he cared about hate you would be blocked. That was ALL we got from him. 

When Joseph saw klamille wasn’t popular, he began distancing himself from it. He started downplaying it in interviews, straight up denying what was happening onscreen. “You can insert any female” That was bullshit. On the show, no woman had a connection to Klaus like Cami did and he knew it. Cami was the only romantic option on the show for Klaus but Joseph painted it like Klaus had sooo many romantic options. But on the show Klaus is telling Cami he needs her, giving her headcanons, like dude, you know this is a romance. He’s not an idiot. On top of that Joseph’s kissing Leah off script, so he knows klamille is romantic. Yet he’s going against what his own show is saying, why? Because he doesn’t want to alienate some rabid shippers?

In doing this, Joseph left Leah out in the cold. I’m not saying Joseph should’ve been a klamille cheerleader and talked about them all the time. I’m saying when the man gets asked direct questions specifically about Klaus and Cami, answer them. The question is about Klaus and Cami, just answer it without bringing up other women to appease people. Leah isn’t the only one he’s done this to. Joseph never spoke out about the hate Leah and Phoebe got because of their interactions with his character. Joseph knows this. Would it hurt to give them some back up? To tell rabid shippers to back the fuck off his costars? I guess so since he turns a blind eye and a deaf ear to it all. 

Joseph is the lead of the show. He leads the cast, he has a responsibility to speak up. No he does not get a pass for “ignoring hate and drama” he needs to open his damn mouth. By staying silent you are participating and allowing it to continue. Why is it everyone else has? Daniel spoke about the hate Leah got and how sad it makes her. Charles mentioned the hate the ladies received because of shipping in an interview. Why couldn’t Joseph do the same?

Andy Lees, a guest star, showed more love and support for Leah in his short run than Joseph did in 3 years. That is fucking sad and shows what a coward Joseph is. Leah was not some recurring side character. She was a main on the show Joseph had plenty of scenes with. Cami’s relationship to Klaus was important. Through Cami we got to see a softer side of Klaus, we see him maturing, we see him being romantic. She left an impact in Klaus’ life, Klaus thinks Cami is his soulmate, but Joseph dismisses them? Are you fucking kidding me? From interviews you get the impression Cami and Klaus aren’t anything special, they’re platonic, but on the show they’re an epic romance. Why is he belittling them? If other men on the show can speak up why doesn’t he? Why is Joseph excused? Daniel stood up to KCers months ago and they swarmed his mentions but he did not give a fuck. He stood his ground and even talked about it in a later tv spot. 

I hate that half assed goodbye tweet. 

Oh, and I know I know. “Joseph probably told her goodbye on her last day.” “What’s the big deal” “he and Leah probably get along” I am not doubting that. He probably did. 

But he has also alienated himself from Leah, acting like she and Cami don’t exist in interviews, and on social media. It’s so bad Leah  untags him from tweets their both tagged in in her replies. It does not cost a arm and a leg to tweet goodbye. It takes nothing. Literally everyone tweeted Leah before the lead man, the man she shared most of her scenes with. Joseph. Aint. Shit. 

Boy GOODBYE. You are not just catching up on your own fucking show? You knew Cami was dying when you filmed that ugly ass promo hyping up your own performance (when it was Leah’s performance that stood out for the episode, the season, and as far as I’m concerned, the whole show.) He knew when he and Daniel did that facebook Q&A and he answered the question of Klaus and Cami being together with “*scrunch face* not how you think”  

Secondly, Cami was more than the moral compass of the fucking show. She was Klaus’ soulmate, something the show went out of its way to TELL US. Cami was the ONLY serious LOVE INTEREST Klaus had. Klaus IS STILL in love with her. But once again JM ignores the narrative because he’s afraid of people throwing tantrums in his mentions. The leading man of TO, who has not interacted with his costar on social media since the beginning of the show, FINALLY does after she’s killed off and only 2 days after the fact.

It wasn’t fucking genuine. If it was, why the delay? IMO someone told him to tweet her, or he saw the criticism about his lack of response in his mentions so he tweeted some half assed goodbye. Had he not seen that, or had someone not suggested he tweet Leah; Joseph would not have tweeted her at all. Daniel, Phoebe, Steven, THE FUCKING ACTRESS THAT PLAYED AUNT JENNA ON TVD (A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHOW) tweeted Leah before the leading man did and that is fucking pathetic.

I have never seen an actor completely abandon a fellow costar and his romantic narrative like JM has (whether they like the sl or not). He’s too chicken to even acknowledge the TCA nom klamille got, but was all too happy to rt and acknowledge his own. 

I have zero respect for him. I think Joseph does what he has to in order to stay loved and he doesn’t mind abandoning costars to the wolves to do that. Joseph is only in it for himself. His actions prove it, I’m just tired of everyone cow towing acting like he’s some fucking saint and innocent puppy above criticism when he’s not. Joseph is a grown ass man and needs to be called out.

Also, why has he never defended his fucking wife when she got attacked?? HIS WIFE! The woman he loves and is spending the rest of his life with? It costs NOTHING to tweet and defend people. 

He’d rather be silent than take a stand against hate and that is pathetic behavior for a grown man. Had Joseph defended his costars I doubt Phoebe, Leah, or his wife would have to deal with so much bullshit from his fans. Instead he chooses to look out only for himself. He is a spineless coward.

 That is why I dislike Joseph Morgan. In fact, the only TO people I don’t side eye are CMD, Danielle and Leah.
