I thought I was managing my anger about Cami (and Leah). However now I've read that they're bringing in a new wolf girl (actress from some cancelled show) and Davina may return in S4 but Cami is dead for good. WTF!! It's was bad enough they said Cami's story was over then handed her storylines onto other characters. I hope Leah finds a brilliant new role soon - she was imo the best actress on TO. I think that may be the only thing that will stop me being bitter forever.

We’ll never be over it. I know I’m gonna be bitter forever lol. Leah got her realtors license, but I think she’s still auditioning. Leah deserved better than TO tbh and she was one of the most talented actresses on the CW. Leah has acting chops hopefully a successful show picks her up because she deserves it. TO was stupid to fire her and I’m sure they’re realizing it now.

Every time I see something about the show, it makes me even more bitter. I’m 75% sure Davina will return (every article is hinting at it), even though her death propelled the plot forward and had purpose while Cami’s changed nothing. I have nothing against Davina, and Danielle seems sweet, but it’s like every character on TVD/TO gets to come back repeatedly except one.

As for Werewolf Doc, I don’t think she’ll do much except be a love interest for Freya (I’m assuming Freya is the Mikaelson they have hinted she’ll be involved with; I doubt any of the others will get a new love interest and they made a point of mentioning that the character is bisexual). They made a fuss about Jason Dohring joining the show too, and look at how much (i.e. how little) they ended up using him. Is he even still on the show?

Leah will find a new acting gig. She’s an experienced pro. It’s just a pity she wasted her time on a dead-end show where she was unappreciated for reasons that had nothing to do with her talent or likeability.

I’m so…. *releases string of curses*

Cami is not coming back. The strongest actress, the developed female character is not coming back. Ykw? If Leah was a complete bitch I’d understand. If Leah was unprofessional garbage like 90% of CW actors I’d be OK. But this woman was excited and passionate about her character. She constantly promoted the show until the hate she recieved got to the point where she barely came on social media.

Leah got fired because Cami wasnt “popular enough”. Because they went by idiots in their mentions and biased “reporters and journalists” who told them people hated her. They never stopped to realize that the only people who hated Cami with such ferocity were people who shipped Klaus with another woman. Cami fans werent “loud enough” but why should it be that way? Why cant you tell the story you want to tell? Season 3 had more people loving Cami and klamille and its because the writers finally went all out and progressed them seriously. They gave Cami more to do. How do you complain about a character not being popular when you push them to the background?

You know who was an instant hit? Josh. Who is useless as fuck and a cardboard character.

I cannot believe TOW kept pandering to shippers then wondered why thw haters wouldnt go away. Its because you didnt shut them down and back up Leah thats why. Its because you dont take yourself seriously and try to appease everyone.

I want this show to burn so bad.

I agree 100%. At one point, I said I didn’t want the show to fail. That lasted all of about ten seconds. I take it back completely. I do want the show to fail. It deserves to fail. They have painted themselves into a corner and now they can stay there.

Julie Plec said when she “explained” why they killed Cami that Leah was professional, dedicated, committed, etc etc. Daniel Gillies and Andrew Lees said how great she was to work with. And everybody knows Leah was the best actress on the show. One of the few better-than-mediocre actors in the cast. That’s not an insult, that’s just the way it is. But she’s the one they decided to fire they could do without. It just makes me so angry to think that Leah put up with so much disrespect from moronic shippers and did her best to promote 1) her character, with little support from her bosses, particularly Plec, and 2) her romantic ship, with no support from her co-star (yes, his silence and vague, lukewarm responses speak volumes), and far from being rewarded for her dedication and commitment to the show, she got the boot.

I wonder how exactly they gauge who their audience is anymore. The elitist fanboys on the wikia? The twelve year olds who tweeted them for three years how awful their show was because Klxxx didn’t happen? Comments on the FB page? A lot of people commented on Twitter and Facebook how devastated they were after 3x09, when Cami died the first time. They RTed and liked the sneak peaks that featured Cami and Klamille. Did the writers completely miss all of that positive response? Were we invisible as a fandom?

But even if the anti-Cami complaints they got on social media did accurately reflect what the general audience thinks, did Plec and Narducci really think that killing Cami would actually bring back the fans who weren’t watching because of her?

I call it reverse fanservicing: catering to the fans you DON”T have more than worrying about the fans you do.

The producers, writers and cast probably think they’ve tried to be neutral. But their silence and lack of conviction, and their desire to keep fans hopeful (aka stringing them along) has caused more harm than good. And in the end, they have pandered to the people who sent hate to them, whether they meant to or not. They showed that if you whine and bitch loudly enough, you can make things happen. The character you dislike because of a ship can mysteriously disappear.

But guess what? So can viewers.

^^ Summed up beautifully 👌🏻
