Do not fret…
I know some of you occasionally panic about whether or not the writers will fuck us over last minute with a KC ending, but let’s be realistic for a second. I am a Steroline shipper and a Klayley shipper(yes, I know we are a rare breed haha) but even I know that Klaus’s endgame was always going to be Camille. Michael Narducci spoke about Camille’s effect on Klaus being present in season 4. Even in death, she is his endgame. And that brings me to this point; Klaus will also die. That is the only way The Originals ends. They’ve already foreshadowed it in his words to Camille, “Do not be afraid. You go now where many have gone before you. And where even I will go in time.”. Sure, you can say that he was feeling that way because of the constant threat of the prophecy looming over his head, but to me it sounded like it was something he has thought about before. Also, why else would the writers sever only Klaus’s sireline? Because they wouldn’t want his death to affect the happily ever afters of The Vampire Diaries. They unlinked him because the writer’s plan all along was to have Klaus slowly transition into a more heroic role, to become the light of Hope; only to kill him in the end. We have already seen Klaus’s villainous front wane all throughout season 3 and particularly by the end. He didn’t even sound convincing, his speech about being their “maker” and how he “won” came off as hollow. We know the kind of man he is now, and that wasn’t it. The Originals, I think we can all agree, is a tad bit darker than its original counterpart. I have no doubt that it will end in tragedy. And that’s why I say to you Steroliners, “We have nothing to worry about.”.
