This is some bullshit. What “redundancy of heroes” ? The Originals is not a show about heroes. It never has been.

Thats what was special about Cami O'Connell. Of all the characters on the show, Cami wanted to help people without recieving anything in return. She didnt just look out for her species. Cami wanted to help anyone she saw even if they were the “bad guys” (i.e Aurora, Lucien, Mikael) Her heart was in the right place.

How was Cami isolated? WHAT THE FCK JULIE. Cami was friends with EVERYONE ON THE SHOW. She helped EVERY ONE OF THEM OUT in some form or capacity. She was everything BUT isolated.

In season 3, Cami’s arc is about surviving. She gets put through hell, but decides to go forward even though she’s scared. In 3x10 she decides to turn because she doesnt want to be the victim anymore and because she wants to help other people as a vampire. Cami sees she can do some good.

Mix things up and make it tragic? Tell me what was fresh about Cami dying. Why was it necessary? It did not propel the plot forward. It didnt give us any new information. The most tragic thing about it was the writing of 3x19 and the detriment of Cami’s character.

Again, WHAT NINE PEOPLE TELLING TE STORY? No one had this arc this season on TO? The only thing that was repetitive was KILLING CAMI TEN EPISODES AFTER YOU DID IT BEFORE.

But the last part is what really pisses me off. We needed to pull the Mikaelsons tighter together?

HOW DID CAMI CONFLICT WITH THAT JULIE? HOW?!?

First of all, the Mikaelsons family issues stem from the Mikaelson family. They are the source of their conflict. Not Cami.

Secondly, Cami has done nothing BUT root for the Mikaelson siblings to mend their relationships from DAY 1.

Encouraging Elijah in 1x01 and a deleted scene in 4x20 to not give up on Klaus.

Unintentionally inspiring Klaus to become a father (4x20)

Telling Klaus NOT TO MURDER HIS SISTER

Helping Elijah with his red door

Telling Mikael about the cycle of violence in their family was stupid.

Trying to get Klaus to accept Freya

Getting Elijah and Rebekah to go along with Klaus’ plan against Dahlia

Telling Elijah and Klaus that they love each other and they could trust each other.

I can go on. HOW WAS CAMI CONFLICTING WITH BRINGING THE MIKAELSONS TOGETHER?

Her death didnt even bring the family closer together because the Mikaelsons weren’t fighting each other.

Cami was the Mikaelsons friend and confidant. Anything else is a fucking lie.

I was wrong. TO writers and Joseph do not need to try to explain their reasons for killing Cami because the more they do the stupider they sound. Which is fitting because killing Cami like this was a stupid decision and there is no way to defend it.
