Stage One

To complete this riddle, you had to count the letters of the alphabet. A=1, B=2, C=3, and so on. So 22-9-22-9 was Vivi, and 19-5-8-21-14 was this riddle’s answer - “sehun”. 

Stage Two

For this stage, you had to find the very first second we see the member who wears glasses with a kite. The member was Kyungsoo, and the trick was in finding the right video. The most obvious first choice was teaser 16 from back in MAMA era, but that actually wasn’t the first time we saw that footage. That footage was first used in the What is Love music video, which released almost a month earlier than the teaser. In the music video, the clip starts 17 seconds in, so the answer to the riddle was “00:17″. 

Stage Three

When you opened this stage, you were met with this:

To solve it, you needed to copy all the numbers and paste them into a binary to text translator. Upon doing so, this was the message encoded in the 1s and 0s:

Ten is an important number. In some languages, there are proverbs about ten being perfect. Binary is also a language, made up of the same numbers as ten. The next password is the person’s name who is connected to the number ten. Try writing it in the language of ones and zeros.

To get the password, you had to translate, “lay” into binary, which is “011011000110000101111001″.

Binary was chosen for this stage because it’s made up of 1s and 0s, which make up Lay’s jersey number, 10. 

Stage Four

Stage four included a passage written by yours truly that was littered with references to Chen.

So fittingly, the answer to the riddle was “chen”. 

Stage Five

This stage included a little poem about light. Notably absent from the page was the link to the next stage, however, the last line of the poem was, “Have you lit the candle yet to show where your next footstep will fall?”

This line was prompting you to quite literally illuminate, or in this case highlight, the way to the next stage. 

This riddle’s answer was, “byun”. 

Stage Six

This stage was a little throwback to the MAMA music video. In the video, Suho wipes his hand across a mirror to reveal Xiumin’s face. In keeping with the mirror theme, this stage required you to mirror the image, either with an image editing program or by simply holding a mirror up to it and reading it that way. 

To find the answer, you had to watch the 16th teaser from MAMA era. In it, Suho is seated at a desk. The riddle asks for the time keeping object on the desk, which was this riddle’s answer - an “hourglass”. 

Stage Seven

This stage proved to be one of the trickiest ones to solve. On the page was this video:

and the simple message, “if you listen closely, this little birdy might tell you where to find the next clue.” 

The first part of the riddle was actually finding the riddle. This meant following the bird, who pointed you in the direction of the second half of the riddle. If you listened closely, you might’ve heard the bird tweet. 

Figuring this out led you to KMEXOPLANET’s twitter, on which you’d find this:

From here, you had to translate the images into a certain nickname of Chanyeol’s. Namely, “happiness delight”. 

Stage Eight

This stage was very simple in design, having only 6 lines of text reading, “Melting And Dripping Into Cold Eternity”. Figuring out the answer was not quite as simple though, and required having seen some footage of a certain VCR from exo’rdium. This one, to be specific, 

Keeping that in mind, and with Xiumin being the proverbial first born in EXO, you had to look at the first letter of each line for the password.

Stage Nine

The last stage had instructions that were actually quite easy, if you were familiar with sending an SOS. 

This level was crafted around Kai’s jersey number, 88. It was explained back in Wolf era that the number 88, in morse code, meant kisses and hugs (also known as XOXO, which is also the title of one of EXO’s albums).

So, with the theme of morse code in mind, the videos that served as this stage’s riddle might make a little more sense. 

These videos, when translated from morse code, said, “kai” and “number” respectively. The answer to the final stage, as the determined codebreakers figured out, was 88.
